Registered Clinical Counsellor, MA, Certified K-12 Educator, Infant Sleep Educator

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Infant Sleep Educator, School Counsellor, and Certified K-12 teacher I work with clients from infancy to adulthood. I am passionate about helping children, youth and adults improve their mental wellbeing.

My diverse background in mental health, sleep, psychology, physical heath, child development and education of all ages makes me a great fit for people with a multitude of needs.

The Whole Story

I took the long road to become a Clinical Counsellor but in doing so I have developed extra skills and education that most Counsellors do not have.

My bachelors degree is in Outdoor Education and Guiding because I wanted all children to have the amazing grounding experiences in the outdoors that I was privileged enough to  have as a child.. When I was done I wanted more of an educational background and understanding of child development so I went to Teachers College and completed my Graduate Degree in Teaching and Learning K-12 to become a Certified Teacher while simultaneously becoming a Personal Trainer to further my understanding of the mind-body connection and working as a Behaviour Interventionist with children and youth on the Autism Spectrum. I focused my learning on working with at-risk youth and those with difficult behaviours and this became my specialty.

Again, I realized I had a yearning for more education in order to better support my students social/emotional needs. I went back to school and did a Graduate Diploma in School and Counselling Psychology. I loved this so much that I decided to push my education further yet and I completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology so I could work with children, youth and adults.

This educational journey left me believing that when I had my own children it would be smooth sailing but as many parents realize in the early days, raising children is hard! Even when you have the textbook knowledge.

I strongly believe the best way to support children, youth and adults is to educate them. By providing the skills we use in counselling sessions, we empower the individual but can also empower the families!

My most recent education was completion of a course to educate families on infant sleep from a neuroscience prospective to bring those social/emotional education skills into the home from day one and to support parents and their difficult transition.

We are all climbing mountains.
Even if mine feels steep I can use my skills and vantage point to help you navigate yours.
